New wishbone spider species described in Zootaxa featured in a story by Miami Herald 2025-10-06
A new species of wishbone spider, Damarchus inazuma, has been described in Thailand by Kunsete et al. (2025), accompanied by the first documentation of a gynandromorphic individual within this family. The specific epithet "inazuma" was chosen due to the species' resemblance to the character Inazuma from the manga series "One Piece". This discovery was featured in a story by the Miami Herald.
